Surface Treatment
There is another treatment procedure that has proven to be very useful especially when there is large furniture in the room that prevents pulling the carpet back. For that matter, even when there isn't large furniture to be moved, cleaners are finding this procedure very quick and convenient.

A couple of precautions:

This procedure is only for use on areas that have concrete sub-floors. If the sub-floor is wooden then Odor Zyme or Molecular Modifier will need to be used.

This procedure is not for use on Wool or other natural fibers.

A lot of moisture is being used in this procedure, this moisture needs to be removed from the fibers, backing and pad. Generally speaking a wand isn’t enough (even with a truck-mount). You need the right equipment. So a flood extraction tool is strongly recommended.

Step 4. Allow 30 minutes dwell time.

If you don't want to be standing around (or have hourly employees standing around) for 30 minutes, make this treatment the first thing they do. The rest of the dwell time required can be taken up with pre-spraying, running hoses removing stains making repairs etc.

Step 5. Thoroughly dry extract area (no rinsing) using a sub surface/flood extraction tool.

Step 6. Dry thoroughly.

Step 1. The OSR mixture is eight ounces (or four scoops if they are using the yellow scoop from the OSR container) per gallon of the hottest water they can get.

Step 2. After the OSR is mixed and completely dissolved in the hot water saturate the area by pouring the OSR solution directly on the stained area Remember the rule of thumb with visible stains:  The stain below is going to be twice the size as the stain on the surface.

Step 3. Use your wand without any vacuum or solution as a squeegee to move the solution around and ensure penetration.
